Preparation of charcoal in the area of Narok. First all the trees of an area are cut down and then the wood is piled in order to be heated over three days. The charcoal is the main energy source for cooking meals in rural Kenya. It's also one of the main sources of deforestation in Kenya. The use of charcoal is also contributing to climate change and global warming.
