Protesters, on the night before their eventual eviction, in one of the cargo nets errected as part of a campaign to try to stop the building of the M11 motorway into the East End of London. Protesters occupied a street called Claremont Road and spent six months fortifying it by barricading the houses, digging tunnels and hanging cargo nets accross the street. A 100 foot scaffold tower was also built from the top of one of the houses. The eviction began at the beginning of December 1994 and took five days to complete.
