Recycled bags, which are emblazoned with images of the American flag, provide shade for an internally displaced woman selling tea. There are about 120,000 displaced people living in IDP camps in and around Gereida. Their living conditions are very basic and they are entirely dependant on food distributed by international humanitarian aid agencies. Outside the boundaries of the camp, where a state of lawlessness exists, they risk being attacked and raped by roaming militants.
