Rohtas (24), who transports bricks with a horse and cart at a kiln in Khesikala village, with his two year old stallion at his stable in the village. It is unusual to see horses working in brick kilns. It is unusual for horses to be used in this work as its normally the preserve of the mule and donkey. The brick-making season runs from November to June and as the months progress the condition of the animals and workers deteriorates under the growing pressure of work and heat.
