Sanny (22), a trans woman, standing in the backyard of Labrys' compound (a local NGO promoting LGBT rights). She says: ''In September 2014, I met a man through WhatsApp Messenger. He invited me for a date. On the way, he and his friend started strangling me until I lost consciousness. They took me to a cemetery where a grave was dug. They beat me and continued to strangle me. I saw two shovels in the car. Fearing for my life, I offered them 400,000 Som (around USD 570) to let me go. They agreed and drove me to my friend's house to get the money. But on the way, I managed to escape from the car and ran to a police station nearby. When the police found out that I'm a trans woman, they started to make fun of me and call me offensive names. They didn't help me. Many years have passed since that incident, but I'm still afraid whenever I go outside''.
