Sheik sits alone in his house with his prosthetic arm. A former security guard, he retrained as a baker after his arm was amputated by rebel militia during the civil war. He has an oven but few people can afford to buy his bread. Thousands of innocent citizens were mutilated and had limbs brutally amputated by the by Revolutionary United Front (RUF) militia seeking support during the decade long conflict in Sierra Leone.
