Bagan (Pagan), Magwe Division, Myanmar, BURMA

Small boats ferry people and goods across the Ayeyarwaddy (Irrawaddy) River. In colonial times the river was known as the 'Road to Mandalay'. It is the country's largest river and it's most important commercial waterway, dissecting the country from the Himalayan foothills in the north to it's delta in the Indian Ocean.
