Bonga, ETHIOPIA

Sudanese ethnic Uduk children carry their siblings in the Bonga Refugee camp on the border of the Sudan. The Uduk tribe was threatened with extinction in 1989 when its population dwindled to around 7,000 as they fled to Ethiopia from Sudan during the civil war. Since then, the tribe's population has risen to over 17,000 in the camp where there are on average 100 births a year.
