Supporters of opposition leader Etienne Tshisekedi and his Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS) party protest against the UN-sponsored elections and foreign involvement in the country. The UDPS is boycotting the electoral process, saying it is fraudulent. Congo's first multi-party elections in over 40 years are scheduled for July 30th 2006.
