The 2,000 year old terracotta army at their excavation site in Xi'an, a Qing Dynasty burial site which was discovered in 1974 by several local farmers while drilling a well. The location, which contains 6,000 figures of warriors and horses in battle array, is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.
