The Chaisson family clean their house after hurricane Gustav delivered wide spread wind damage and water damage to the predominantly Native American community of Isle Jean Charles, Louisiana. The family home has been flooded by storm water nearly a dozen times since it was built. This time, Isle Jean Charles remained without electricity and running water for weeks. Residents were under mandatory evacuation before the storm and many are relying on emergency food, ice and water supplies in the sweltering summer heat.
