The Hallig of Groede in the Wattenmeer (tidal flats) off the Schleswig-Holstein coast. The tidelands of Schleswig Holstein's Wattenmeer are protected as a National Park. The Halligen are small islands at the mercy of the sea without protective dikes and therefore often overrun by storm floods and spring tides.
