The main structure of the Ormen Lange gas field is rolled out and assembled for the first time at the quayside, where the floating crane Uglen lifts the manifolds into place. A 750 mile pipeline will go under the North Sea linking the Ormen Lange gas field in Norway with the UK, where it will be capable of meeting up to 20% of gas demand.
