Thomas Klasibin, stands in front of what used to be the forest that supported his community. He is a Mooi, one of the indigenous people who live off the forests of West Papua. Their ancestral lands are being devastated by logging and encroached on by palm oil plantations. In many cases they claimed to have been deceived into selling their lands for a fraction of its value.
