Tobruk, LIBYA

Tobruk is being kept relatively safe and free from looting by groups of armed youngsters who are part of the revolutionary group. In this picture some of them are hanging out in front of the burned out police station. On 17 February the country saw the beginnings of a revolution against the ruling Col Muammar Al Gaddafi. Rebels now seem to control Tobruk after a pivotal attack on the city's police station. In total between 150 and 200 civilians have been killed in violence during the uprising in this area alone.
