Trader Ndeye Faye talks on her mobile phone as she prepares to take her bale of bras to market in a local taxi. She purchased them from the Colobane sales centre which sells clothing donated from the UK. 150 tonnes of usable clothing is transported to Dakar each month from Oxfam's wastesaver Recycling Centre in Huddersfield. Over 20 percent of the local economy in Senegal is dedicated to second hand clothing with over 70 percent of the population wearing second hand clothing. Bras are in particular high demand in Senegal as the item of clothing that traders can get the most money for and Oxfam are launching a campaign, The Big Bra Hunt to encourage more people in the UK to donate to their shops.
