Mae Sai (Mai Sai), Chiang Rai Province, THAILAND

Traders carry large muslin sacks on their shoulders as they wade waist-deep through the waters of the Mae Sai River. The river, which marks the boundary of the Thai-Burmese border between Mae Sai and Thakhilek, is shallower during the dry season and often traversed by wildlife poachers and traders trafficking illegal goods.
