Villagers from Te Pin Gine village, Laputta, Ayeyarwaddy Division take shelter in Shwedagon, Yangon (Rangoon) . Of the 5,000 villagers, only 128 survived. Some had visited this monastery before the cyclone on a pilgrimage trip to Shwedagon, and therefore came back to it to seek help. On the left is 16 year old Min Thu Kyaw who lost his three brothers and both parents in Cyclone Nargis, which hit Burma on 02/05/2008.
