Villagers queue with water containers to collect water from a remaining active pump during the dry season. The influx of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to the area has put added pressure on local water sources and many people are still drinking the infected water from the Yei River. Cholera is a highly contagious and potentially fatal disease which thrives in conditions of poor hygiene and inadequate water supplies.
