Young female runners competing in a women's race that was organised by the Laureus Courir Pour La Vie (Run For Life) project to promote sports activity among teenage girls. The project is supported by Moroccan athlete Nawal El Moutawakel, who was the first African and the first Muslim woman to win an Olympic gold medal when she won the 400-metre hurdles in 1984.
