28 year old Danny Savalba, a Honduran immigrant, sits in his home in Manassas, Virginia with his one year old daughter Alison. His house has plummeted in value over the last year from 295,000 USD to 150,000, and for the past six months Danny has not been paying his mortgage. Soon they will be moving out. The area is suffering from a major collapse in the housing market following the subprime crisis and global credit crunch, which has forced the foreclosure and abandonment of numerous properties.
