31 year old Ranganai has been the victim of political violence due to her opposition to the ruling Zanu PF. After her husband died in December 2008, the MDC (Movement for Democratic Change) helped facilitate his funeral. "It was the year of extreme food shortages, but whenever I tried to buy maize, we were refused because my husband was buried by the MDC." She says, "It was a very difficult year for me. I survived because of the grace of God. Otherwise I would have died of hunger."
