A bank agent who is sent into the countryside to pay government employees in cash has his motorcycle repaired in a local repair shop. Some journeys for bank agents can take between two and three weeks, reachingt isolated communities. The Congolese government has outsourced the payment of salaries to some isolated employees to some of the country's larger banks.
