Rhino Camp, Bidibidi Refugee Settlement, Uganda

A coach carrying refugees arrives at the Bidibidi Refugee Settlement. In the centre, Angelina Monday is breastfeeding her youngest child Lillias Sadia (six months). The bus ride takes most of the day and the dirt road full of holes, but Angelina and the others passengers are happy as they talk to each other about 'the good conditions of the road', the 'high living standards' in the villages they pass through, and also that they see many people freely walking around, a change from war-torn South Sudan where many people are afraid to go out.

The destination for the bus is Rhino Camp where Angelina Monday and her children have been allocated a plot of land of around 30 x 30 metres, on which to build a home and to cultivate crops. Their new home is part of a scheme which has been praised as a model for the ethical treatment of refugees.
