A displaced mother living in a settlement near Kizimba who is suffering from malaria. Two of her children had recently received free treatment for malnutrition at a nearby UNIICEF-health centre. But the mother, unable to afford medical treatment for herself, chose to visit a village 'witch doctor' who treated her recurring headaches by branding her on the forehead with the heated prongs of a fork.
