A group of men and women with their babies with teacher Snorri Magnusson during a parent and child session in a swimming pool. Snorri Magnusson started giving swimming lessons for babies in 1990. Currently he teaches up to three lessons a day, six days a week The young swimmers range in age from two and a half months to 12 months old. Events for parents have been rare during the COVID-19 pandemic but on 13 December 2021 a total of 34 babies attended the three swimming lessons held at the pool. Magnusson says swimming is just a minor part of his teaching, the interactions between babies and parents, and the joy of being in the water, are most important to him. Five of the parents in this class came here as babies themselves.
