A man training his dogs on the sea ice for a forthcoming dog sledding competition, Greenland's national sport. On this day, even in the frozen winter, they cannot go far out onto the frozen sea because the ice's thickness is not sufficient to hold the weight of a man and to fall into the water would mean almost certain death.
