A statue of King Leopold II (1835 - 1909), King of the Belgians, that has been defaced in the wake of worldwide protests in support of Black Lives Matter following the death in custody of George Floyd in Minnesota. King Leopold II presided over egregious human rights abuses in the Belgian Congo during his reign.
