A young woman and her grandmother feed swans that have swum up to the shore at Mangalia. They usually live along the freshwater shores of the Danube but sometimes migrate along the coast to southern Romania. Scientists are not sure about the reasons for this behaviour. One suggestion is that they go to where tourists provide them with food.
