Aerial view of Black Rock City, the temporary city constructed by visitors to the Burning Man Festival. Each year tens of thousands of people amass in the Nevada desert to take part in what organisers describe as an experiment in community, radical self-expression, and radical self-reliance. All the 'streets' of this temporary city converge on a point in the centre of 'La Playa' where, on the sixth and final day of the festival, a large effigy of a man will be burnt to celebrate the spirit of renovation.
