Hassan Sham Camp, Iraq

Ahlam Abbas, 26, with her children in the Hassan Sham IDP camp where they have just arrived a day earlier from Kokjoli in Mosul.

Ahlam says: "We were stuck in the house for five days whilst bombs rained down, in front of the house. From five am to five pm continuous fighting. ISIS was using us as human shields, they, the militants, came into our house to use it as a shooting place. They said we were non-believers. They put a gun to our heads to keep us quiet. We were 16 in our family, downstairs, whilst ISIS were upstairs, I was thinking we are all going to die. After five days ISIS were defeated and the Iraqi military came into the area. All the ISIS families escaped. We are not allowed to leave this camp. We are humans. There is no food, no water, no electricity. It's freezing at night already and we don't have warm clothes. We can't bathe, and there are four toilets for all these peopleâ
