Teun Voeten

Paris, France

An impromptu memorial of flowers and candles near the Bataclan club where, the evening before, 89 people died when gunmen entered the venue during a concert and began to fire automatic weapons at the audience. This was the most deadly of six coordinated terrorist attacks by gunmen and suicide bombers in the French capital on 13 November 2015 which resulted in the deaths of 129 people and scores more seriously wounded. Responsibility for the attacks was later claimed by the so-called Islamic State.
