An improvised barrier made with a coconut palm trunk used to try and protect a house on the Banedub Island from high tides. Islands in the San Blas archipelago are suffering from destructive tidal surges and human overpopulation, forcing the indigenous Guna people to abandon their islands and resettle on the mainland.
