Angelica Choc, widow of anti-mining activist and La Union community leader Adolfo Ich Chaman (in photograph), cries as she speaks during a press conference during the landmark Choc v. HudBay case which is being heard in the Canadian justice system. Ich Chaman was murdered on 27 September 2009, by Mynor Padilla, former head of security at the Guatemalan Nickel Company (CGN). Padilla is currently being held in jail on the murder charges and awaits a proper hearing. Ich Chaman's widow, Angelica Choc, is currently pursuing a high profile lawsuit in Canada against HudBay Minerals, company that employed Padilla at the time of the murder.
