Beatrice Gonitoua, (39) in her home on the land she and others in her village use to grow vegetables. The crops they grew increased the availability of food and surplus produce was sold, enabling the purchase of livestock such as goats. Last year 350 households received gardening kits and seeds. Beatrice said: 'There was training provided in how to maintain the garden, to sew and to help the vegetables grow. It helped, what we produced increased the food availability.'
