'Bissam' is a gay Iraqi actor and former US army translator. Here 'Bissam' watches a Syrian TV series (much like the Iraqi series he used to act in back in Baghdad) in his cramped rented room in the old city of Damascus. 'Bissam' now lives in San Francisco, USA where he was granted asylum after five years of waiting in Syria, and a further 2+ years of being secondarily displaced in Turkey.
