Carmen and Guadeloupe, 11 year old twins, live with their parents and two brothers. They need to travel one and a half hours each way to school every day. They also both work at the local supermarket in the evenings. They often don't get enough sleep. Most nights they finish work around midnight and have to be at school at 9 am the next morning. They hardly have enough money for food but they dream about having a big birthday party. If they had a big party they'd be able to forget their worries and the hard times.
