Bentiu, Unity State, South Sudan

Children walk along a path covered in rubbish and dirty water in the Protection of Civilians (POC) camp for internally displaced peopel (DPs). This is the largest camp in South Sudan normally sheltering around 100,000 people. The population has swelled with people fleeing the floods by at least 20,000. Conditions were already terrible with overflowing toilets and ditches filled with untreated sewage.
