Close to the front line, a small group of Taliban prisoners of war have been sitting in a cold truck all day. The Northern Alliance are waiting to exchange them for the bodies of 11 of their dead comrades. Suddenly the guard turns on one of the defenceless prisoners and beats him with a rifle. He tries to protect himself with his hands.
