Zarzis, Tunisia

Fishermen in the port of Zarzis talk about the increasing numbers of migrants they encounter at sea as they prepare their nets before setting out to sea. Previously they were often involved in rescue operations, but nowadays they have been banned from doing so by the Tunisian government. Now they can only communicate coordinates of migrant boats to the coastguard. If they do take a drowning person on board, they will usually end up being interrogated by the police for hours on end.
