Foad Pashai was born in Tehran where he joined US helicopter manufacturers Bell after he finished high school. In 1982 he escaped Iran and fled to the USA where he has since lived in California. He began his political activism on arrival and in 1992, Foad and his friends established a political party named 'CPI' (Constitution Party of Iran) which has 39 chapters in the United States and other countries.
