Hanne (20) from Namsos reflected in a bathroom mirror in her new apartment in Trondheim. In July 2011 Hanne set out to attend an AUF (Labour Youth) political camp on the island of Utoya in Tyrifjorden. On 22 July 2011 the camp was attacked by right-wing extremist Anders Behring Breivik. He murdered 69 people on the island, most of whom were under 20 years old. Hanne was in the cafe building when she was shot, her best friend dying on her lap. She was hit in her left arm another bullet left pinky finger shattered and another severely damaged her neck vertebrae. After the attack she spent four and a half months in hospital fighting to recover. She says: 'When I woke up in hospital and saw that my little finger was missing, I started to cry - how could I live without it? Then I realised I had been shot in the neck, and could have been paralysed.'.
