Katerine Pupiales (20) and Marisol Pupiales (27) pose for a portrait in their home. Marisol is a law student and communitarian teacher who started her volunteering in a San Clemente school teaching 'kichwa', an indigenous native language. This education initiative had been planned for a long time ago, but the pandemic made it possible. Marisol, Katerine and other youth communitarian leaders started with Kichwa teaching, adventure activities, English, traditional cuisine and theater.
'It's a kind of education where the kids are free in the way that they learn, reinforcing their identity and relationship with nature'.
