Mary began her acting career as a child star in Iran appearing in television shows, feature films and plays. She was the first actress in Iranian film making history to win the Moscow International Film Festival Best Actress Award for her performance in Dead End, written and directed by Parviz Sayyad. She moved to the USA in 1977. Mary is an actress, producer, director, writer and composer. Among many films and awards, her politically charged play 'Beneath The Veil' premiered at the Kennedy and Lincoln Center. She co-starred with Paul Sorvino and Sally Kirkland in the Motion Picture 'Price for Freedom' and with Academy Award Nominee Edward James Olmos in the feature film 'Monday Nights at Seven' due for release in 2017. Throughout her adult life, Mary has remained active and fiercely committed to improving the lives of Women and Children, especially in the Middle East and Iran.
