Mitra Khorramian was born in Tehran and lived there till the age of six. During the start of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 her family fled to Israel and then emigrated to the Unites States in 1981. She is a general contractor who strongly believes in supporting women in the trades. She lives in Sherman Oaks, CA, as a proud Persian, American, Jewish Lesbian - a life that would be unimaginable in Iran at the present time.
