Mohamed Salu, a malnourished and fever-striken baby, is treated at a therapeutic feeding centre run by Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF). With treatment, it will take two or three months before he regains his normal weight. A severe drought has extended across East Africa after the rainy season which was expected in October 2005 failed to arrive. Levels of rainfall in the region have been far below normal putting millions of lives at risk.
