Muriti palm fruit (Mauritia flexuosa). The fruit is produced by the muriti palm (literally "life tree") that grows throughout Central Brazil and the Southern Amazon basin. The fruit of the muriti can be eaten raw, dried and can be used to make muriti wine. It is also commonly used in traditional medicines and in the production of beauty products.
