Nima Taradji was born in Iran in 1963. His family moved to France before the Iranian Revolution in mid 1970s and he migrated to the USA in 1980. Following his graduation from the Texas Tech University he moved to Los Angeles where he began a carrier in commercial photography until 1995 when he moved to Chicago, Illinois to attend law school. At graduation from law school with a JD and an LLM in International Business and Trade, he opened his own law firm and began his career as a trial lawyer from 1999 to 2015 when he retired. Following his retirement, Nima returned to documentary photography.
