On the day of the 2018 referendum legalising abortion in Ireland, a street mural was painted depicting Savita Halappanavar who died in a Galway hospital in 2012 after being denied an abortion while miscarrying. People soon left flowers and notes expressing support. These were later scanned and sent to her family in India.
