Patrizio Romano and Trabitha Johnson Smith say goodbye to their friend and neighbour, Tai Whitten, as she leaves her home in Manassas, Virginia. About two months ago Tai made the decision to cease her mortgage payments and move in with her father. Her house will most probably fall into foreclosure as there have been no potential buyers. The area is suffering from a major collapse in the housing market following the subprime crisis and global credit crunch, which has forced the foreclosure and abandonment of numerous properties.
